How Can We Help?

Bridge of Hope North Central Iowa assists single parents with children facing homelessness in Franklin County.  We support single mothers or fathers to help secure and maintain permanent housing by providing:

  • One-on-One Case Management
  • Budgeting and Financial Education
  • Goal Planning
  • Connections to Services
  • Resource Development
  • Life Skills
  • Parenting Support
  • Neighborhood Volunteer Support
  • Appropriate level of financial assistance for rent and security deposit

We believe that families are stronger, healthier and more successful when they are in their own housing.  Homelessness/housing insecurity have long lasting traumatic effects on parents and children.  Parents often struggle with depression and anxiety for years after experiencing a housing crisis.  Children experience mental and physical health challenges, and their education performance is negatively affected.  Our goal in working alongside single parents and their children is to have long-lasting impact and positive change for both generations.

Please know that Bridge of Hope is not an emergency shelter and does not provide emergency financial assistance without program participation.

Bridge of Hope serves families regardless of race, ethnicity, faith or life experiences. Bridge of Hope takes seriously the call to serve families without discrimination, extending compassion and grace without judgement to families facing homelessness.
